The location was good, on the main avenue, close to the harbor and the historic downtown. I liked the tastefully decorated room and the large private bathroom, as well as the access to a common room with a refrigerator. It was very nice that Marta and Miguel provided a small Nespresso coffee maker in the room as well as a small sample of Moscatel wine and local cookies. Miguel also explained the history of the apartment. The hosts were very accommodating when I contacted them to ask if I could drop off my luggage mid-morning so I didn’t have to carry it around with me until check-in time.

The weather was very hot during the three nights I stayed in Setúbal. This accommodation does not have air conditioning, and the room got quite hot during the day. Unfortunately, I couldn’t open the window because of the traffic noise coming in from the main avenue that runs along the house. A fan was provided, but it didn’t help cool down the room. I therefore wasn’t able to sleep well due to the warm weather, which is obviously not the hosts’ fault. I assume that, because it is a historic building, they are probably not allowed to install air conditioning units.

De tudo, desde o primeiro momento com o Miguel que explicou um pouco da história do alojamento, muito simpático e amigável, dos pequenos mimos que deixam no quarto, localização boa, cama super confortável e um bem estar geral começando por não ter TV no quarto o que para mim é perfeito, mantendo as linhas vintage o que é muito bom.

Wonderful friendly welcome and the en-suite room had everything we could have wanted including two sweet bottles of local moscatel wine - much appreciated! Would highly recommend. Amazing value!
