The Devils Cradle

The location was great for our needs. It’s very close to a wonderful sculpture park. It has lots of walks in the countryside. It’s opposite a pub where you can get a meal if you don’t want to cook. However this cute cottage is set up for great self catering if you need it. Trish, the host, was very pleasant and helpful. We would love to make a return visit.

Fantastic stay in such a lovely location.Everything was just superb.The host was first class and everything was provided for .The property was super clean and so comfortable .

I am so glad we found this lovely little place to stay! What a gem! Beautiful cottage, in a gorgeous location, with cereals, milk, orange juice, teas and coffee supplied. Trish was lovely, very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended

Clean & well equipped

Mattress was too soft. Perhaps halfway between firm & soft would suit most people. Road rather noisy during the day.

Everything! The bed was super comfy. The kitchen was very well equipped - it had everything I needed for my stay. There is a lovely seating area which is undercover so can enjoy it even if raining. Trish left milk, juice, a selection of tea's & coffee's. What's not to like :-)

The accommodation was beautifully appointed with attention to detail.

Unfortunately and through no fault of the proprietor there was diverted traffic on the road in front of the accommodation which was very busy all night.

The Devil's Cradle was excellent! Such a well appointed and thought-out place to spend 2 very relaxing nights with my good friend. Everything we needed was there, including some breakfast cereals, milk, orange juice and tea bags. The quality of the building and renovation work (it was a former farm shop) is excellent and makes just arriving and looking around a pleasure. Just across the street is The Sculpture Park, with a 2 mile trail through fantastic outdoor exhibits, with woodland and lake scenery. I would highly recommend this great place. Thank you Trish (a lovely host, with great, yet non-intrusive communication) for our fabulous and relaxing time in your lovely place.

Location for me was perfect. Communication was brilliant. Property was spotless. Facilities were brilliant.

One minor thing that the front door has clear glass in it with no privacy blind.
