Guest House Yasuragi Hakataekimae

I highly do not recommend staying here. Very loud you can hear everything from the rooms next door. The walls are open at the top so even the private “rooms” feel like one big shared room. When we were there other guests were puking all night in the bathroom. And constantly slamming the shared door into the private bunk bed rooms. The older Korean staff lady was super rude and seems to hate foreigners, she can speak English but was very unwilling to talk to you help you or greet you if you don’t speak Korean or Japanese. Started off speaking English then explained everything in Japanese even though she knew I didn’t understand her. Would glare at me when I entered the front door and would not say anything.

Very basic. Quiet but close to everything.

I thought the bed was uncomfortable and very noisy. The staff was lovely but the stair were very steep and not ideal for me

Expensive for what it is

No privacy, there’s gaps between the ceiling & floors of the dorms

Convenient location, close to Hakata train station, shops and restaurants.

The dorms are cramped (only 5 beds, but a small room). There is just one toilet on the ground floor and it's close to the dorms, so you may wake up from the noise. The lockers are in the living room and quite small. The locker wasn't big enough for my laptop. There is no proper kitchen, but hot water, fridge and microwave.
