"You can have a rest here, with caveats."

Your enjoyment of Kamelly will depend a lot on your expectations. I booked it because it was the only available option for a last minute booking, for 180 euro per night, and it certainly was too expensive for what it offered, but again the whole area (Barcelona and 20 km around) is insanely expensive accomodation wise and seems only affordable for rich people. Having said that: the room was clean, I had a proper shower every day, there were enough plugs, a fridge, and I could have my own breakfast every day in the cute terrace (though I bought my washing stuff). And yep, the staff are extremely nice and attentive. And the AC does work really well. Once to go down to Salut metro there are a lot of facilities around, a market, and generally really nice food. There is also a bus that goes up that street, which was very convenient when coming back from Barcelona. And all in all, I must say that my stay there was really pleasant.

But it is a bit of a mess, like a half done exercise of turning flats into hotel rooms. The plugs are all in weird places, the one next to the bed was taken by the fridge. There is a microwave but not enough utensils or plates, or even a place to wash them (did it at the bathroom). The bed is firm, which I love, but it has that kind of foamy material that sinks and it is not super nice. The streets are noisy (wax earplugs saved me), the area is rough to the point that patrolling police profile you and ask you for documentation just for being around the area. And, well, I paid 180 euro per night for something that is not precisely what it appears in the pictures. The area is full of very steep streets - great for your glutes, but you may find this arguable.
