Pear Tree Cabin

Quiet & comfortable, fuss free. Lovely cabin for 2 people. Good walks nearby. Warm, lots of hot water & great shower.

There was nothing not to like but just note there's only a microwave & hob, no oven.

location is amazing. cabin is gorgeous. welcome tea and toast so appreciated. would highly recommend.

I didn't get the email re directions so took a few trips up and down lane before we got there. but thats all

It’s was in a great area and near where we wanted to visit, very clean, warm and cosy. Everything was fine to a high standard.

Such a beautiful part of the world! Easy to find and such a fabulous location with very helpful owners. We spent a lovely evening at the Montagu Arms but next time we will definitely go to The Pig for something a bit special!

A few minor elements that sadly had an impact on comfort. Although the wood burner was a real treat, the sofa (actually a sofa bed) was a 'futon style' and uncomfortable, certainly not where I would choose to sit when enjoying a fire and reading a book. We weren't looking for a cinematic experience but the TV picture quality was so bad, we couldn't watch it - thankfully the weather was great and we didn't need it but had this not been the case, it would have been a little annoying. Finally, the towels felt like Brillo pads as they had been air dried (I assume) so something softer would have been welcome.

Beautiful cabin in an excellent location. The log burner was a real plus at this time of year The food items left for us - bread, milk, eggs, butter and jam were really appreciated. We visited the motor museum and house which was stunning as it was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

It was straight forward to find, great location, designed in a neutral palette to appeal to a range of tastes, lots of comforting details like the eggs, milk, butter, coffee grounds, tea towels.

The sofa was a sensible choice as it doubles up as a sofa bed but it was not relaxing to sit on. We had to buy more firelighters as there were only 2 left in the box, just something to keep an eye on.

We loved being right in the middle of the New Forest proper with ponies very close by, plus being right next to woodland, heathland and Hatchet’s Pond meant there was great walking without the need to drive anywhere. The cabin was lovely for two with a very comfortable bed, excellent shower and very nicely decorated.
