Tanu's homestay

Wonderful guest house with only 3 rooms and in the pure Rajasthani architecture. This is such a charming place. The roof top with the view on the fort is outstanding and so cool to eat or just chilled out. Food can be ordered as well and this is cooked by the family. The guest house is located 4 min walking distance from the clock house (300 m away from the guest house). The hosts are also really friendly and are helping you to get information needed. For instance, where to take the buses, prices for Tuktuk etc. I spent only 1 night as the following night was not available, but for sure I ll come back!

Good value for money for a centrally located guesthouse - so this is according to expectations

The room was spacious, clean and secure. I had a hot shower every day, without any trouble. The family are very kind and helpful. They helped me to package some things to post back to the UK, gave an extra blanket and towel. I was able to refill my water bottle whenever needed. Food at the guest house was tasty, prepared freshly at any time of day, and was very reasonably priced (cheaper than every other restaurant I came across, but of comparable quality and choice). The guest house is nicely located beneath the fort, amid the narrow, winding streets. There's a great view from the roof, especially in the evening.

It's not a criticism of the guest house, more of that part of Jodhpur, but it is a noisy place, with no sound insulation whatsoever. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Location is great, literally 3 minute walk from the fort. The host is very accurate, speaks good English, has called to confirm in advance and was waiting for us for a late check in.

The rooms are gloomy to say the least, hot water is hard to operate, quite inconvenient, early (10:00) checkout required.

Great location, amazing host - super knowledgable about both the area and history. Lovely room and nice and cool with AC from the desert heat!

I have never written a review on Booking but this accomodation was so good that I have to. The best thing of all was owner's hospitality. He is a very nice, friendly and hospitable person and his family too. The room was very clean and cozy. The location of accomodation is also great. You can eat there great food on their roof for very good prices with an amazing view of the fort. I highly reccomend to stay at Tanu's homestay.
