Waterfront Guest House

It has a direct and beautiful view of the lake on the edge of town. Although not self-catering it has a fridge and microwave. We had the triple room which gave us two bedrooms and enjoyed the balcony looking out to the lake, as well as the remote controlled lockable garage. We did not need the electric blankets but were glad they were there. The linen was crisp and clean and we enjoyed the soft pillows.

We struggled to find somewhere for dinner and ended up with fast food. I would suggest you bring a meal that can be prepared in the microwave and bring cutlery and crockery as an alternative to going full self-catering. This was not about the establishment, but the town, which does not seem to be thriving.

The staff was incredibly respectful and welcoming. I appreciated the courtesy calls notifying me that the room is booked is ready. My check-in time was 8:30pm, they patiently waited for me until I arrived 10:30 p.m. We had a warm welcome and a beautiful stay.

The view was very nice. The welcome was very friendly. Good to be able to put the car with all the luggage in a garage.

The breakfast was nice. The weekend was freezing and the host called us to inform us not to worry about the cold because they will keep the room warm and comfortable.
