Begnas Coffee House & Hotel

Location and view from the room balcony was exceptional. A very tranquil and secluded environment, just 30 min away from the busy and noisy Pokhara. The family the runs the hostel (along with their coffee and honey business) are extremely nice, friendly and kind. Nature is all around you in this this place and if you're looking for piece and quiet just outside Pokhara you should certainly consider it.

Room and facilities were pretty basic, which was expected and matched the description when booking the place.

I had a great stay at Begnas Coffee House and Hotel. It was like staying with a family who were all very nice. I even played football with the young son. Large evening meals were cooked by the family which was good because there are not a lot of restautants in the area. Fantastic view of the lake and mountains. The family arranged a taxi back to Pokhara for me. Try the coffee produced on site. You can take fresh beans home with you.

Friendly host family. Beautiful views. Good food. Clean. Peaceful surroundings. I extended my stay multiple times.

Large room and bathroom. Nice roof top area with great views down to the lake and to the snow capped mountains in the distance. The owners/staff were very friendly and welcoming. The dal bhat was cheap and tasty. WiFi was very good. Overall a decent place to stay and we would return.

Some comfortable chairs/sofa to relax and read in would be a nice addition. The menu was a little strange, with inconsistent pricing. Some things were quite cheap, but others pretty pricey. What we did eat was tasty though. No fault of the owners but some noise from nearby construction site.

Best place with view over the whole Ananpurna and Manasulu region, very nice stuff, very good good coffee - really organic from the djungel with own rostery, good food, situated in the nice Village of Pachabaya on the hill

Lovely family-run guest house surrounded by nature, with birdsong at all hours and stunning mountain views on clear mornings. They serve delicious food and coffee, made with produce grown in their forest garden. They really looked out for me and my mum (who is 75). There are lovely local walks but you'll probably use taxis if you want to get to restaurants etc.

It's a guest house, not a hotel, so dinner time is fixed and menu choices can be limited. Be aware that Begnas is MUCH quieter than Pokhara (which is what makes it wonderful).
