Island Break

Excellent value for the money for $70 usd/night. It included breakfast and dinner. Dinner was delicious every night; the Maldivian lobster is a must try. The excursions were great and reasonably priced. The location was fabulous. We did the whale shark snorkeling and it was amazing. Also planned to do fishing but timing didn’t allow for it. The brothers are very hospitable. Room was clean and the brothers made themselves available throughout. Even arranged for private transfer on our way out and joined us on the boat. Amazing time.

The facilities were a bit basic but that is expected at a local island. The value was amazing. Would definitely return.

Me and my girlfriend traveled to the Maldives and stayed here as the first trip with our baby daughter. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The brothers running this place are amazing hosts that did everything for us to have a pleasant stay. - Coordinated the service from the airport with great help - Made us switch room if we wished - Made special portions for our baby with fruits and vegetables cut in small pieces - Great organization with tours for both fishing, turtle snorkeling and shark point. We have traveled to more than 30 countries but this was by far the best service we have ever had in any of our stays (5 stars or not...) All our praise to the brothers, who we now consider friends rather than staff.

It was right by bikini beach, sun beds were free to use, evening meals every night were delicious and great selection, free transfer too and from the ferry jetty, our room was very spacious, free tea, coffee and water and beds were comfy and clean

we felt like there wasn’t much effort made towards us, hardly any communication was made, didn’t feel very welcome there, didn’t enjoy the scheduled meals as it makes their lives easier but our holiday not as enjoyable, had something planned through them for our last night but got let down as they forgot, could have all been easily avoided

We stayed at the Island Break guesthouse for 4 nights and it was really incredible! Something to remember! The Island Break guesthouse is at great quiet location, very close to the bikini beach (1 minute walk). The guesthouse has a nice garden with a lounge bed ideal for relaxing, reading or watching the ocean. The whole guesthouse has some kind of a personal touch and that makes the atmosphere even more family-like and relaxed. The room is spacious, nicely furnitured (handmade by the owners from coconut tree), with a comfortable bed, very clean. There is air condition, fan, fridge and hot water in the bathroom. They provide you with beach towels and also with a bottle of drinking water every day. The room is cleaned daily, with clean towels provided every three days. The owners – three brothers are amazing young people, very kind and helpful, communicative (with excellent knowledge of English) and with a great hospitality which makes you feel like at home. One can really feel that they take care of each guest, starting prior to the arrival and during the whole time spent in the guesthouse. We will never forget how they accompanied us on the trip to the next island as if we were their family. The food is great - the best Maldivian breakfast we had in the Maldives was at Island Break! We also had dinners during our stay at the guesthouse and they made us delicious vegan food as both of us are vegans. And also something for which we are very thankful to the hosts – they made us a beautiful flower arrangement on our bed as we were celebrating 20th anniversary. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Perfect place to stay with a perfect hospitality, highly recommended! Thank you Brothers for making our stay at the Island Break so incredible.
