Good quiet position in Bodhgaya. Really friendly people, and excellent freshly cooked food

Excellent food. Suitable for people who eat less spicy and have an early dinner.

Mainly quiet location near Root Institute for meditation

They offer room as "deluxe" which is an absolute exageration. Dirt all over the place. See the pics. Window and balcony door full of gaps, partially filled with paper. Shelves covered with newspaper. Kitchen as common room for guests rather dirty, even for indian standard. Door to bathroom cannot be closed. As low temperature outside, 6°C, asked owner for heater unit as I had got a cold. Room temperature at night 8°C. According to owner they don't provide any heater, but later found out they do. He gave us 2 blankets extra. Stayed there 10 days and felt simply ignored. Asked for a/c room and owners answer again was negative and contradiccionary.Owners attitude very questionable. Finally we left 2 days before, it was a bad energy we felt. Not the way to do business and treat guests... Very sad about such behaviour and experience. NOT RECOMMENDABLE AT ALL

I stayed at Suma Guest House for a couple of weeks and it was definitely a positive experience! The room was nice and tidy, and there was always a hot shower and a wonderful terraсe upstairs. Anil and Rekha are very caring and attentive hosts, and Rekha's cooking is excellent. In general, a very homely and relaxed atmosphere :)

Anil & Rekha are the loveliest of people. We loved our stay at Suma Guest house. It was like staying with family. Anil is very helpful with all the booking and questions on what to do around Bodh Gaya. Rekha, wife of Anil, is an amazing cook. Everyday she prepared completely fresh and organic food. Many of the ingredients were picked from there garden. She was in the kitchen from early hours of the morning preparing everything. We can't recommend her food enough. Some of the best food I've had in India and I've been travelling there for 10 years.

The politeness of the only staff of the Hotel (?) that is the owner .

Location,Entrance,Food quality ,Surroundings,Approach Road ,non availability of Parking Place within the hotel ( in fact the place of stay starts with the big gate abutting road and there is no gap of the building with the adjoining buildings and behind the gate there was very very narrow space just to accommodate a small vehicle). The photos available in the website are deceptive.The owner took the entire payment on the very first day ,not at the time of check out as normal practice. There was no system to take payment through credit card. Charge per room per night appears to be disproportionate to the amenities available, in Indian standard.

A great place to stay in Bodh Gaya. Lovely big rooms and a great roof terrace to enjoy the sun. Anil and Rekha were perfect hosts. The location is also good, it's a little out of town which means it is much quieter and more peaceful than other locations in Bodh Gaya.
