Beds were comfortable but I am used to a very firm mattress. So I suppose I would find most others on the soft side. The location close to the little town and shopping centres of Hazyview which has first class shops like a Woolworths Food where you can buy excellent provisions for a braai or whatever you are planning. Although Hazyview has expanded a lot over the past 30 year since Thulamela was established, this small intimate little B&B with only 6 cabins retains its character and tranquility. Penny, the owner and host is perfect as are the staff, Julia and the lady who brought us our delicious breakfast. Not a cooked breakfast but delicious.

Absolute Peace of mind & connecting with nature at the same time & Penny is an amazing host attended to every request we had smoothly.

We had a fantastic stay at Thulamela. The property is peaceful, well-kept, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our host, Penny, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Everything was well organized and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and great hospitality. It’s a gem we’ll definitely return to!
