Hluhluwe Gate Safari Camp

If you are looking for accommodation that is very close to the Hluhluwe gate and you don't mind using a communal kitchen, then this is a great place to spend the night. Very friendly welcome with a glass of juice and fruit.

Proximity to the reserve gate

Felt very vulnerable. No safety doors or bars on cottage. Was a very kind security guard but no one else on the property. No reception in the cottage itself.

Room was comfortable. Views exceptional

Toilet and shower not clean on arrival but was cleaned for the rest of our stay. Braai grid dirty and never cleaned. Kitchen not clean and dish cloths filthy and need changing. Dining room pleasant and clean. Much needed maintenance around bonfire area. Garden in need of weeding and maintenance. Staff member very pleasant but needs further training in this important position. Electric gate and intercom not working. Bedroom very nice and comfortable with magnificent views.⁹

The sand road leading to the camp could be better If there is rain it definitely will be tricky The only thing missing was a table to have meals ... and plates

Location was excellent. Very close to the entrance gate.

The unit was not cleaned. the fridge was not wiped. the mirrors and sliding doors still had finger prints from the previous visitors. there were full spiders and cobwebs everywhere. had to ask security to clean the unit.
