"Lovely and quiet room with beautiful surroundings, perfect for a few days stay."

We found the room to have everything we needed, and appreciated the extra towels, blankets, and snacks that was provided. Our host was very friendly and accommodating, and we were grateful for the quiet and private feel of the room.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

"we worked long hours and just needed a place to sleep / take naps and shower. This was perfect."

All your basic needs are taken care of with the bonus of cookies and chips for when you need a snack!

I saw a plunger in the pics so I packed coffee beans and grinder but there was no plunger in the room, just instant coffee. but not a train smash.

Hout Bay is 30 minutes from most of the tourist sights in Cape Town - it is less crowded and has even better beaches than further up the coast at Camps Bay and Llandudno - and it is a 10 minute drive to the Constantia Wine Route as well! The hostess, Lisa, was kind and extremely helpful to my daughter and I - I highly recommend Mountain Peaks as your home base while travelling around the Western Cape.
