The room was beautiful, and we loved watching the birds in the garden from our room! The host was very nice and helpful. Good location :)

The only thing is that the walls/doors are very thin, so you can hear people in the other rooms quite clearly - if you’ve got a noisy neighbour it can be a little disruptive!

Il fascino di un’antica dimora.

Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und haben den großzügigen Platz im Zimmer sehr genossen. Man schläft auf einer Matratze auf dem Boden, was authentisch ist und gemütlich aussieht, aber natürlich nicht super komfortabel ist. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt aber total in Ordnung. Die Gastgeberin war extrem herzlich und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das geteilte Bad war auch zu jeder Zeit sauber und man ist anderen Gästen quasi nicht begegnet. Auch die Lage war toll! Was wir nicht zu Fuß erreichen konnten war mit dem Bus in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar.

Die Matratzen im Zimmer könnten etwas dicker sein, sodass man den Boden nicht so doll spürt.

The guesthouse is a beautiful traditional building, perfect for those who would like to experience local life. Chiyo welcomed us warmly and made us feel as if we were part of her family. The room was extremely clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Everything you might need is available at the guesthouse. There is also an opportunity to experience the art of Mizuhiki by creating a traditional knot that you can take home as a souvenir. Overall, our stay was wonderful. Everything was perfect, and we would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Kanazawa. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

Décoration incroyablement belle, cadre enchanteur et bucolique, hôte accueillante. Le tout à 20min à pieds du Musée d'Art contemporain du XXIe siècle de Kanazawa et facilement accessible en transport.

La estancia en la machiya ha sido estupenda. Es una casa preciosa, con muchos detalles bellos que demuestran el cariño de Chiyo por crear una atmósfera cuidadad y especial. La casa está muy bien comunicada con la estación y puedes ir caminando a los principales barrios históricos, Kenrokuen o cerca de zonas modernas de cenas y compras. La propia calle de la machiya tiene tiendas y cafés con mucho estilo.

Haber dedicado sólo dos días a Kanazawa y no poder disfrutar un poco más de la casa

The guest house was absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful and spacious, the futon was comfortable, and the shared bathrooms and sinks were really practical and quite private, which is difficult to achieve. Chiyo-san was incredibly welcoming: she was accommodating to our arrival time, showed us the whole place, and chatted with us for a bit. Highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Kanazawa!
