This hotel was not a good match for me because of it’s design. That was my mistake. It may be great for someone else. Let me explain… The good points: grounds well maintained, pleasant staff, good location, terrific ocean & sunset views from the community terrace, cold air-conditioning, cold refrigerator. What I did not like was it’s construction and design which made being there uncomfortable and difficult. Specifically, floor inside room and bathroom flooring were unleveled. To use the bathroom I had to climb in and out by holding on to the door frame. Steps leading up to the rooms are paved with small to tennis ball sized rocks held together by cement. Additionally, the height, width and length of each stair step are built unevenly. Missteps were frequent. Taking into consideration that this hotel is built on a steep hill, the pathways are especially uneven. Must walk slowly and take baby steps especially at night. Bed was very hard. There is no closet. No dresser drawers. No desk. No table. No chair. I lived out of my suitcase. When others are awake WiFi is very slow. For a short time one evening there was no running water. Couldn’t use the toilet, faucet and shower. Was told the water pump broke
