Great 4 days in Merijaan Maafushi! Spacious room. Room cleaned every day. Staff and service were excellent. Breakfast varied. Good location and they offer transfers!

Everything! Room spacious and cozy, they clean the room every day, change towels and everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast amazing. Great experience.

Nothing actually

Staff working there were friendly and willing to help. The room was very clean, and cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable. The location was good (the island is very small), five minutes' walk to the other side of the island where the nice beach is, and lot of restaurants and shops nearby.

As other reviews have stated, some of what is on booking.com is untrue. There are small things that don't matter - for example, the listing says we get toiletries, but we got one big bottle of white liquid which could have been soap, shampoo or shower gel (we never found out). Better for the environment I suppose. The room states it is soundproofed, but we could hear lots of noise. There was construction going on next door, which the hotel could not help, but if the rooms were truly soundproofed this would not be an issue. We were offered the choice to cancel our booking but as most of the hotel was sold out, meaning we had nowhere in the same price range to stay, we opted to stay.There were also some very noisy guests on the first floor, slamming doors throughout the day and night. On the last night there they came back drunk from somewhere (not sure how as no alcohol is sold on the island) and started a party in one of their rooms, playing loud music and shouting. I had to go down and bang on the door and ask them to be quiet. No staff were on site and it was 2-3am so not much could be done. However, there is meant to be a 24 hour front desk according to the description. They stopped for 15 minutes then started again. Again, not the hotel's fault, but if the rooms were soundproofed this would not be an issue. Our room also had a very small window with an awful view - a brick wall one foot away. There was no ventilation and we were advised not to open the window because bugs would come in. The description also says there is a balcony but there isn't one. Despite being friendly,. younger staff did not have answers to any questions we had so we usually Googled it. The older guy working was very helpful via WhatsApp, however.
