The Glen Mona Hotel

The room was actually two rooms plus ensuite. It was very comfortable cosy bed we slept well. The bar on Bonfire night was busy with locals so quite interesting.

There was nothing to complain about

Great views and decor. Updated facilities.

Located a long way from any restaurants so would be helpful to provide info on dining options.

Been here before, liked room. Quiet, comfy bed. Nice area close to where visiting.

Parking a bit difficult twice. Room had dehumidifier because of previous roof leak, signs of it in bathroom and bedroom ceiling. Not offered alternative room but may have been full. Bathroom not as clean as previous trip, blood spots by sink on tiles and dark hair on tiles, shower trap lots of hair. Towels although plenty too small need bath sheet after shower.

Breakfast was not included so we ordered it only on 2 mornings. The yoghurts and pastries were very welcome, however a half melon filled with strawberries is not the easiest fruit to deal with.

Breakfast dishes were left uncollected from the landing for more that 48 hours. The ceiling paper and paint was peeling and some came down onto the pillow. The double glazing was blown making it hard to see outside. There was a dehumidifier in the damp room which we emptied daily. The room was not serviced during the 7 nights of our visit, so the waste bin filled up. (We left one day early although pre-paid for 8 nights) The bar was only open on 3 evenings, no bar meals were available.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Glen Mona. The Continental breakfast that I requested was very good. The room was comfortable and well furnished. The bar at the moment is only open at weekends and was used by mainly local people who made me very welcome.

Everything met with my expectations but getting to the rooms could be a problem as there are steps outside the property which are uneven in places.

Very spacious rooms ,lovely views and very quiet

I had two rooms, a living room and a bedroom, en suite. Lovely view of the garden. Tea, coffee and biscuits. Plus fridge. All in all very cosy.

I thought the bar was open during the week, but when I stayed it was Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
