Plantation Surf Inn & Restaurant - Midigama

We had a wonderfull stay at the Plantation Surf Inn. We felt very welcome from the minute we arrived. Greeted always with a smile. Very helpful and nice to chat with. The building is very clean and good cared for. We stayed at the top floor and had great view over the ocean from the huge balcony area. The room itself had plenty of space with a comfortable bed, desk and two wardrobes (open and closed). The location is perfect for surfers, plenty of great spots in short walking distance plus several more along the coast. Nice beaches in walking distance. Rental around the corner and Cafes a plenty. We alwys had breakfast and dinner in-house at the big table and only went to other cafes/bars to grab a snack. We would definitely recommend and come back to the beautiful Plantation Surf Inn :)

Amazing host Chathu that helps with everything you need. Nice surf vibe with likeminded people, very close to good surf spots

I stayed in a ground floor room facing the front garden, and it was a bit noisy at night and at breakfast. An upper room is a better choice for more silence for a nice rest.

Chathu was a very warm and friendly host and we felt so welcome and safe at Plantation. It’s conveniently located at Midigama just a short 5-7 minute drive to most of the cafes and nightlife at Ahangama. The room was really clean and comfortable. We were easily able to rent a scooter from the property and Chathu recommended us some routes to explore. We will definitely be back next time we are in Midigama.

Chattu and the rest of the staff were all tops - they helped us arrange a scooter and offered great recommendations about where to hire surfboards, the various surf breaks (there are about 5 within easy walking distance), some nice restaurants to visit in the area etc. The food we had at the Family Kitchen was also delicious - I especially loved the dahl and rotti for breakfast! Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

Nothing to complain about but the rooftop could be better. Maybe it was because it was raining a lot while we were there but it would have been nice to have a couple of chairs up there to enjoy a sundowner looking out over the waves!
