Ananas Guesthouse

Wonderful stay – peaceful vibe and amazing people. I had a truly pleasant stay at Ananas Guesthouse in Moalboal. The place has a very calm atmosphere and a beautiful, relaxing vibe that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. The common area is thoughtfully designed and perfect for relaxing — there’s a lovely pool, comfortable loungers, palm trees, and lush greenery that create a peaceful tropical setting. Everything is very clean, and you can see the staff continuously taking care of the space throughout the day. I also noticed that the guesthouse attracts genuinely nice people, which adds to the overall positive and friendly atmosphere. They provide free hot and cold drinking water, tea and instant coffee, and even complimentary breakfast, which is a very thoughtful touch. They can also assist with tours and offer full support for planning activities. I highly recommend this place with full confidence. I would have loved to stay longer, but the dormitory is scheduled for renovation. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice place to stay, the dorm room was spacious enough. Very good breakfast. Nice atmosphere and clean throughout. A short walk to the beach. Would happily stay again.

The very friendly staff and the included breakfast was great. The hotel arranged a transfer from the airport, which was convenient. The pool was comfortable and the location was not too bad, within walking distance of the town where all the bars are at. All in all, would recommend, especially for the price.

The bed in the double rooms was way too small. Also, the walls were made of paper which made it very noisy. Eg our neighbours woke up at 05.30 one day and we were also awake after that and could not continue sleeping because we could literally hear every word they said.

An excellent place to stay. It’s clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was actually delicious. Still hankering after those pancakes!!! The bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was good, and warm as well as cold when desired. Big bedroom. Spacious. Good aircon. Nice pool and pool area Quiet location and very peaceful. The gardens in the hostel were lovely and tropical. Walk into town - took 10 mins slow walking. Nice walk in past locals and their shops. In my view, it was nice not being in the centre as it would likely be very noisy at night. I much prefer the peace and quiet. Top tip - Moalboal is a really sweet little place. Stay here for some time. It’s one of the cheapest places in the Philippines. The beach is rocky but it’s awesome to snorkel and see turtles! Yes, turtles. Big green sea turtles. 10 mins away is white beach which is white sands if you need the tropical fix. I wish we stayed longer than the 4 days.

This is tough because it was amazing here. And excellent value for money. Most properties in the Philippines at this value, is not so good. So this is not a message for fellow hostel stayers, this is for the property: basic things need doing in the rooms like - ensuring the curtain rails are properly attached to the wall, as well as the toilet roll holder and the sink. General maintenance checks needed to keep this beautiful little place looking good for longer to come. Don’t think twice about staying here. If it’s available, book it.

Such a great place especially for the amount we paid! The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. Rooms are spotless, it’s peaceful but also only a 5 min walk to the main strip & beaches. Oh and the free breakfast is so good!! Quite a few options, large portions & really tasty! We also did the canyoneering experience through the accomodation and it was great and really good value for money (much cheaper than booking on get your guide or trip advisor) so would recommend doing it this way. Would definitely come back again

Hôtel parfait avec des supers petits déjeuners, 5 étoiles pour le pancake géant!! Hôtel propre accueillant proche du centre 5 min à pied. Le personnel toujours au petit soin et aide à la réservation de taxi ou excursions.
