La Casa Mompiche

I went for 3 nights, stayed for 2 weeks! What a perfect place to relax recharge during your trip. Double beds, sheet changes, free breakfast all within metres of the beach. The outdoor kitchen keeps cool when its hot, the room has fans but always has a breeze and the beds are comfortable. Perfect for a low-key beach hostel.

Having the room with the kitchen was useful. And the location to the beach is good.

The room is a mosquito breeding ground. I've never seen so many in one place. The mosquito net above the bed isn't effective as it doesn't reach the ground. No windows so it feels a bit like a prison. Not a pleasant night stay there.

We stayed at Casa Mompiche for four nights during Christmas. In that time there were not so many guests around what we enjoyed a lot. We liked the little terrace in front of the room where we could sit and eat. The kitchen was well equipped.

In the room were a lot of mosquitoes as there was an open space by the roof where they could fly in. But at night the mosquitoe net around the bed was very helpful to keep the mosquitoes out.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, especially Santiago. Large room with kitchen and balcony (including hammock). Close to the centre of the (very small) village, yet far enough to keep party noise away..

Not 1 decent chair, just stools
