Lynster House

Check in was very easy and Elizabeth, our host, was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our breakfast was included in the price and there was nothing that was too much trouble. OMG the scrambled egg with spinach and parmesan. Yum!

We only got to stay one night.

Breakfast was fabulous, Elizabeth is a great host & has such passion & energy for Monaghan town & making it the best it can be.

Elizabeth is so welcoming and we had a fantastic stay. Breakfast was delicious and the bed was so comfy.

The breakfast was delicious and the house is spacious, clean and homely. Elizabeth is a very interactive host who was always on hand to offer information about the local area and amenities.

This far exceeded our expectations .. the arrival is almost majestic .. entering through the gates and looking at this gorgeous house and gardens. The greeting was friendly and professional .. and by someone who was really proud of how the house and rooms .. and art therein presented itself. Seriously .. this is an art gallery .. each piece with a story that the owner teasingly tells .. with the result of us wanting to spend more time here. The rooms we had (a big double with en-suite, and a big twin with an adjacent bathroom) were equally gorgeous with comfortable beds. the breakfast was really nice; we had a variety for us Monaghan breakfast, aka Irish breakfast will a story on locally sourced food, smoothies, granola, and home-made bread (we knew it was home-made, because we smelled it and saw it coming out of the oven at midnight). Stunning countryside location - a couple of kilometers outside Monaghan town.
