I would suggest to put in the room a litle sofa (for reading, and rest) I would suggest indication for a place where we can take breakfast

"Unique place"

Unique and authentic place to stay, it’s like going back in time, nice!!! Everything is like described and how you see it on the pics. We loved the stillness in the early morning before all the tourists are coming and the views from above, beautiful sunsets:)

"Just loved staying there- like a roomy Hobbit house."

The authentic building - the thick walls and the location inside the city walls. It was a delight. Also lovely water pressure from shower. Very cool in summer - because it’s built into the rock. Just lovely. Patricia was very quick to respond if there was any issues. The place was spotless and full of charm.

Mattress on the top floor very firm for us. The mattress in the second bedroom was lovely.

The suite was perfect. Right in the heart of Monsaraz which is incredibly picturesque and quiet. It was fabulous to stay in this tiny village when all the tourists had left for the day. We stayed for four nights. Perhaps one night too long, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, visiting Evora, an afternoon on the lake, Moura etc. The suite was absolutely fine for sorting out breakfast and a picnic lunch, but we struggled to cook. Whilst it had a cooker, the one time we tried to use it, it tripped the electrics, which we managed to correct, but couldn't get the fridge and cooker to work. The owners sorted it quickly but we didn't chance it again, so lived on salads and wine! The village was remarkably quiet at night and early morning, other than the swifts and sparrows who made a lovely racket at dawn. Make sure you bring basic supplies ( in Reguenos) with you e.g coffee, milk and something for breakfast as very little opens before 11 and even then, the choice is very limited. We would heartily recommend the tapas bar O Gaspacho which does fabulous toasts and excellent wine.

Check in was somewhat difficult and took a number of emails and phone calls when we arrived, despite having a key lock by the door which could have made it nice and easy. Whilst the apartment had an oven, it was pristine and I don't think it had been used (we managed to trip the electrics when we tried) and it had no trays or anything to put any food on, even if you could get it work which was a shame.
