Mancora Beach House

Great location overlooking the beach, away from the noise of the town but with a few restaurant options around. Cafe at the hostel has breakfasts for a reasonable price and is a great place to sit with a beer. He also gets a big TV out for world cup games. Good kitchen with a few ingredients available to buy. Lovely host.

Being on the beach is the main draw. Quiet and peaceful

Lack of privacy and comfort. No door on the bathroom just a curtain so for 2 people sharing it’s awkward. No sound insulation; just loose fitting glass windows so anyone walking outside the room will hear noise from inside. Mosquito net had holes in it which made sleeping difficult. Lack of places to eat and get essentials nearby. We moved after one night.

Lovely location outside of the centre of Mancora, amazing to be so close to the beach and 4/5 affordable restaurants nearby that we really enjoyed. The owners were so friendly, and they’re showing the World Cup which was a plus. There’s also a kitchen, lovely bar for breakfast and drinks on an evening which are very well priced. We extended our stay by two nights because we loved it! Thank you.

It can get hot at night, but this wasn’t a problem for us. Robert also provides a mosquito net and repellant so we had no problems with the mancora mosquitos!

Robert was great. We appreciated that they sold the basics on location. They also offered laundry services.

All rooms had only single beds, so we ended up needing to rent three rooms instead of two. The accommodations were very basic—hot water and fans were available, but there were many mosquitoes. Based on our other experiences in Peru, we felt the price per room was much higher than what the accommodations offered.

Rustic and well kept, comfortable bed with mosquito net and fan. Right on the beach, at the quiet end. A beautiful terraced patio to enjoy. Excellent all around

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans l’hostel de Robert, c’était exactement ce qu’il nous fallait : un petit hostel calme et charmant avec l’accès direct à la plage pour se baigner dès le réveil et profiter du magnifique coucher de soleil de Mancora ! Le matin vous pouvez prendre le petit déjeuner ou simplement un café sur la terrasse puis à partir de 17h des gaufres ou un pisco sour selon l’envie ! Robert a été adorable avec nous et nous a aidé pour certaines démarches importantes, disponible et à l’écoute on se sent bien chez lui ! Nous avions prévu initialement 5 jours mais nous sommes finalement restés 10 jours, on recommande !
