"I enjoyed my stay in Gold Lion"

10.0

It's a small family hotel in an old traditional 2 storey house, just 2 rooms a smaller and a bigger. Though I was alone I chose the bigger one because it has a large balcony and a nice view which I had all by myself. The staff was very nice responsive to my requests. I decided to have a dinner at my balcony and they agreed though it's a bit inconvenient to climb winding stairs up with a tray full of dishes. The dinner and the breakfast in the morning were tasty and made of quality products. They have a selections of different wines. The hotel is in a quiet narrow lane passing through and arc up to the square. The scenery in front of my balcony looked like theatre decorations: a roofless house with green trees growing inside the walls. Quite picturesque. The balcony is surely an added value for visitors. The room is quite and well illuminated due to its large windows. The internet connection was stable and the speed was good.

Accessibility of the rooms upstairs may be a problem for some people with limited mobility. Also there is a pack of small dogs living nearby and they make a lot of noise at night when they become active, barking at cats and passers by.

"It was okay, but a week was too long!"

6.0

The property is very central and the rooms are large. The hostess is super friendly but can’t speak a word of English.

The wardrobes and drawers were filled with extra linen, towels, etc, with no space to hang your clothes. it’s extremely noisy with most of the homeless dogs hanging out next door and making a cacophony every time anyone gets close. Not the peaceful place we envisioned.
