Nice View Safari villa

The owner was amazing. He helped us with everything - book a safari, take us for a walk and swim to a river, prepared a dinner for us. The stay was really nice.

Its super hot during the night, but thats not a big problem.

We all enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were incredibly personable, warm, friendly and communicative to our entire family. We had breakfast and dinner here, and it was just lovely. The food area setup is very cool, and the food was terrific. The buffalo curd was incredibly delicious. We organised our safari through them, and it was amazing! Our hosts provided a lovely snack bag which was such a considerate thing to do. We travelled with young children, and our hosts were incredibly friendly to them. My children adored them both. Overall, the owners are lovely people who make you feel right at home. Sri Lanka is filled with beautiful places, but this place stood out.

· Don't think twice before booking your stay at Mango Tree House! This gem of a property comprises of two small houses hidden away in a lush garden, away from the main road in Udawalawe. The house we stayed in was beautiful and tastefully decorated, with a large comfy bed, lots of storage space and a wonderful outdoor shower. It was impeccably clean, with complimentary local hand made shower gel and shampoo. dimuthu was very communicated by message before our arrival, and helped us to arrange a driver to bring us to and from the property, as well as a half day safari with a great driver/ranger. He even gave us a care package with water, bananas and biscuits as we set off! Despite a little rain we managed to see many elephants, as well as other animals like deer, buffalo, peacocks, eagles, hornbills, etc. We also arranged to have lunch and dinner at the property before and after the safari, which was delicious - hats off to kanchi for her amazing cooking. The dinner was one of the best rice and curries that we had on the trip, so definitely don't miss out if you can eat there! The breakfast that is included in the price is also very tasty. We would 100% recommend this property for your trip to Udawalawe, based on the kindness of dimuthu and his brother kanchi, but also because it is a beautiful place with everything you would need to make your stay special! Oh and they also have the cutest and loveliest dog called Shane that hangs around the property during the day, you can't help but having a smile on your face :)

. The location is good for Udawalawe just a short walk to shops and easy access for safaris. The setting was idyllic surrounded by foliage and next to the river. It was the staff who made it. Lucky was great and very informative we had some great conversations with him, he and his team were so helpful, the restaurant staff, chef, front of desk and gardener were all so welcoming and did everything to ensure we had a wonderfully comfortable stay. We would recommend this hotel
