Wingate Hotel Wilgamuwa

A good location for Wasgamuwa national park (20 mins from the park). The room was spacious and clean. We were grateful that they let us leave our bags for our morning safari. Staff were kind and friendly, although communicating was a little difficult.

There were a few things that were a little tired - the tap was very loose, there was a hole in the bathroom door, and the Aircon wasn't very effective so the night was quite stuffy. It's okay for a stopover before safari. The place is also a venue so very big and the staff were there on arrival but it was difficult to find them at times despite searching for them. We drove into town for food but if you don't have your own vehicle there isn't much nearby.

The hotel is not maintained and in my opinion is not suitable for Westerners!

Perfect hotel to visit Wasgamuwa national park. The hotel is run by a very friendly family, food is lovely, rooms clean and affordable.

Great Hospitality, Great Service and an Amazing location

We had an amazing experience! The customer service was exceptionally friendly, and the owners were incredibly kind and helpful. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for a great dining experience!
