Hotel Quellenhof

Hotel Quellenhof was a little paradise. Everything about it was just perfect. The location amid apple orchards surrounded by mountains was stunning. Every morning I was in awe of the beautiful view from our balcony. Both our room and bathroom were spacious and tastefully furnished. The garden and pool area was attractive and immaculate. It was lovely to have a swim there at the end of the day. The buffet breakfast was 1st class. It was attractively presented with attentive detail. There was a lovely choice of different types of bread, cereals, yoghurt, charcuterie and cheeses, raw veg, eggs, jams and little cakes. Most of the products were homemade. The breakfast room was more attractive than shown in the photos, as a great part of it was surrounded by glass. The weather was good, so we preferred to have our breakfast in the garden. However, 5 stars definitely go to Frau Ketenwalder who ran the hotel with her lovely daughter. Always cheerful and with a lovely smile, she ran the show at breakfast, was at reception to help with any queries and recommendations. On one of the days we used the hotel bicycles and she went out of her way to reserve the van and buy our tickets to take the bikes to the beginning of the trail as the train wasn't working that day.
