Nereidi Suites

It was really good accommodation in Salerno. Everything what we needed was in the apartment. Host is very nice person, who answers fast and help with everything. Where was no problem with check in and check out and everything was nice and tidy.

Far from city centre, but walking there was a pleasure 😊

The place was in a decent location, was clean and fairly comfortable, the AC worked well and the balcony view was beautiful. We did get new towels and coffee on the 3rd day, which was also nice.

The host didn't see my message saying that we were outside for 30 minutes, so her neighbor had to let us inside the building. That was really annoying and apparently had happened 3 times this week (and the neighbor had let everyone in). There needs to be a better system for cjecking in. There were also no wine glasses when we got there, so we had to drink our wine in water glasses. We asked her to bring some on the 3rd day. The apartment lobby smelled so bad everytime we walked into it, and the bathroom often smelled like sewage too. The room was much smaller than expected as well.

Very well presented, great little welcome basket with tea/coffee/bottled water and a lovely view over the port. Really efficient for checking in and out.

Nothing really. A full length mirror for me to check my complete outfit in before going out would have been useful.

While the sea is visible from the room, the location is inconvenient, far from the centre and basic services. However, the items listed below are an issues that need addressing or at least worth considering from the point of view of guests booking this accommodation instead of others: - Upon entering the apartment and reaching the room, one immediately notices signs of neglect. The hallway wall showed yellowing, likely due to mould, which had not been addressed, see photo. - Inside the room, the sofa was visibly stained with yellow marks that could have been easily washed, given the presence of a zip-off cover. - The bed was uncomfortable, as also reported by other guests. The bed sheets had laddered tears. - The lamps above the bed were both torn and not working. See photo. - The bedhead itself had a visible stain. - Attached to the ceiling, directly above the bed, was a large mirror which we found both inappropriate and a health and safety hazard. - The bathroom shower had not been properly scrubbed and had dirt/stain on the floor. - On departure, we noticed a rodent control box near the entrance of the main building, suggesting potential infestation. Overall, the stay was not worth the money, nor did the quality of the service justify the cost. There are other beautiful B&Bs in Salerno that offer a clean, welcoming environment and demonstrate a genuine interest in retaining guests, rather than simply securing bookings without maintaining or updating the space, or listening to the needs of guests, expecting guests to stay in such poorly maintained conditions.
