The place was very and had a detached feeling from the rest of the city, very good if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Kudo-san's "Shabby House" was one of the best guest houses I've ever stayed at, possibly the best. This is mainly due to Kudo-san, a fantastic, helpful, friendly and kind host who always goes out of his way to help guests. Whether it's by giving lifts, helping with logistics or giving great recommendations, Kudo-san is always there to help with a great smile on his face. His homemade breakfast is the best I've had in Japan so far. Shabby House itself is a very quirky and interesting space, decorated in a very cool way. Location is good (depending on one's plans for visiting Sapporo), very close to Mt Moiwa and transportation to the centre. Thank you again Kudo-san for all the help and all the great chats!

静かで寝やすかったです。朝食が美味しく、送迎もしてもらえました。

やや繁華街から離れています。時間があえば、札幌駅くらいまでの送迎があります。

駅までお迎え付とか、１人１人のニーズに合わせた対応をして頂いて、オーナーさんの心遣いに脱帽。申し分ない宿です。朝ごはんまで付いて、独立した１部屋に泊まれてこの値段、北海道に来たら又、予約したいです。 場所は、ちょっと分かりにくいので、お迎え助かります。建物もちょっと年代物ですが、逆に新鮮かも…（笑）

昔ながらの作りで階段がちょっと急…今は珍しい作りと思えば良し

Akihiro was the most gentle and good-natured host. Although the location was far from the train station, he picked me up with his car in the evening and brought me back in the morning. The Shabby House is just that, a cozy, old-fashioned place. It is very clean and there was a marvelous breakfast included. I slept well.
