Communal area next to my bedroom felt a bit odd, even though it wasn’t used by other quests. Assumed we had private use of property but I might have missed that in the intro

About a 20 minute (easy) walk from Ortigia. Siracusa itself has a totally different (less touristic) vibe. The suites are within a short distance of the archeological park. Street parking. Able to drop luggage off on arrival before check in.

Picking up the keys was confusing as they were so well camouflaged we couldn't find them! However, the host quickly came to our assistance.

We rented 2 apartments which where in good shape beside the fact of the odor ( s. Below) which already have been commented by other users. Beds are o.k. and furniture are sufficient.

1. Upon arrival, there was garbage from the previous tenants placed directly in front of the entrance door. Area with video surveillance appears at night not very safe. 2. Inside the apartments , there were intense artificial room fragrance, which was very unpleasant. Although this smell faded over time, it was replaced by an even stronger and highly disturbing odor coming from the bathroom, which significantly affected the comfort of the apartment . This issue was particularly noticeable in the Zagara room, where the lack of proper ventilation led to a constant odor nuisance. (window/door is directly to the street, so it can’t be opened. There is only a very, very small second window available ) 3. Zagar room is directly beside the shared common rooms, only a wooden door with no noise insulation

The bed was comfy.

The room was very small. The pictures on the website looked much larger. The shower leaked water all over the floor
