Wonderful calm place with view to the lake, clean room.

Very hard bed

Fantastic view from the terrace of the rooms. Clean rooms and shower. There is everything you need. Lovely manager who responded to all of our requests on time.

Nice and quiet considering it was close to main road Having the kayak was a bonus to canoe around the lake .Lovely sunsets over lake very close to bus station took us 10 mins to walk you need a bike if you are staying a few days

Bed was very hard even for thailand .Not alot to do if you have no transport .They rented us a bike which was old and expensive at 300 Bart for honda click. My advice would be stay on bus another 30k and rent a newer better bike for same money and ride back

We loved it so much here! Originally we wanted to stay in Koh Sok, however we couldn’t find anywhere to book the day before. So we ended up in Takua Pa at Khum Thong and it was such a happy change of plans. It is absolutely gorgeous. There is only a handful of rooms to rent here, and 3 of them are right on the lake. Seeing the gorgeous sunsets and walking up up and looking out onto the lake was such a highlight. Also a big highlight was they have a kayak you can use for free to take out onto the lake! The hotel is situated back from a very busy highway, but actually this means the bus station is about a 15 min walk away, from there you can get a public bus for a few pounds into Koh Sok to visit the national park. We also visited Takua Pa old town. It’s so lovely and quaint! This place seems to have no mention in any guide books or travel blogs but we loved exploring it for a few hours and had some of the best lunch there! Weirdly there is no connection between Takupa new and old town so you’ll need to get the lovely woman who runs the hotel to book you a taxi there and back.

We stayed at a quiet, beautiful spot beside a lake with absolutely stunning views. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Our hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating—they answered all our questions. This was one of our favorite places we've stayed in Thailand. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
