The Base Vegan Retreat Animal Sanctuary

Amazing bedrooms that were larger and even more modern than we thought. I liked the pricing and the privacy too.

No access was provided to communal areas, even though mentioned in the listing.

We spent one night in a unique place, our room was comfortable and tidy, all the forniture was new and fine, but the plus are all the animals from the retreat running around the garden and make you feel part of the family. The owners save animals and take care of them, we appreciated their mission. We liked also the vegan breakfast.

I cannot fault the property at all, to an amazing standard

The stay was really exceptional. We stayed in the room with garden view which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were pristine. The breakfast was wonderful (the big vegan fried breakfast and the raspberry croissants). Jacqui and Fiaz are not only incredibly friendly but truly inspirational. The animal sanctuary was literally a little piece of heaven for the rescued animals. It was a joy watching them and stroking the two turkeys who were truly adorable and loving. A wonderful experience which I couldn't recommend more highly.

It couldn't have been better. The room with the garden view that we stayed in was wonderful. We were given a tour round the cabin by Fiaz which also looks dreamy (all hand built by Fiaz himself). We definitely will be coming back..
