Three Little Birds

my partner and I absolutely loved our stay with Indika and his wife. We were supposed to stay one night but ended up staying 5. The place has a view over a wet area with many birds and buffalos, it is a very special place! Indika will with joy take you for tours and kayak around. The food is also so good, every day a little different. We were lucky to attend a birthday party of their grandchild and meet the whole family! Do yourself a favor and go here, you will not regret it

y first night I stayed somewhere they had a DJ until 5am. I vowed to leave the next morning, but I soon found Indikha and Three Little Birds on booking.com. As I was walking to his place from town, he drove by in his tuk tuk and beeped me giving me a huge smile. He was so happy to see me and told me to jump in for the lift home. When I arrived, I felt so welcome and like an extremely special guest in this family’s home. It was his wife’s birthday and the whole family came around, they cooked a delicious big meal for us all which was one of the best meals I had. I soon decided that this was my favourite spot in Sri Lanka, I watched the sunset and the birds flying over the viewing platform and had several rides in Indikhas tuk tuk. We shared many lovely conversations and I felt like I had found my family away from home. This homestay is the reason I love to travel, to meet amazing people and I want to thank Indikha, his family and the Three Little Birds for making me feel so welcome. The food was delicious, the room was spectacular with a four poster bed and beautiful views and the company just topped it all off. I will be back 💕

Indika (host) received us just like we were in our home :) The room was very good, clean, with a good toilette, with fan and a balcony. The space is very quiet and it is surrounded by nature. We also had breakfast which was amazing! And if needed indika can also give you rides in his tuk tuk. The location is good since it is very close to the beach. Thank you so much for the staying, was very nice!

Three little birds is a terrific place. For just a few dollars, you can stay in a stunning location where you'll enjoy the jungle as well as the beach. The beach is about 15 mins away (by bicycle, you can rent a really nice one at the property) and during my stay, the nearby beach was super empty and serene (so if you're looking for tranquillity, this could be your place). Also, at nights, you fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing at the shore (the sea is quite rough here and you can hear it from afar). The owner was super helpful and took care of all my needs. The meals I had at the property were delicious. The room itself surprised me pleasantly. It didn't feel too hot, it was nicely designed, it had a chic and modern bathroom and there was no mould anywhere. The mattress and the bed were meticulously clean and super comfortable. And if you get a room with a terrace, you'll enjoy a dazzling view. You may even see fireflies at night. The Wifi was great and I was able to work from there as well.

We really appreciate the effort Indikha put into our stay. We had a good breakfast a clean room and a nice talk. He made everything possible and didn't even expect any guests. We would recommend it and come back.
