The guest house is located in Vecsés, which is very close to the airport but falls outside the administrative boundaries of Budapest. This means your Budapest 72-hour travel card will not be valid here. To be precise, if you take bus 580 to get here, your Budapest ticket is only valid for the first part of the journey; it becomes invalid the moment you pass the airport. What makes it infuriating is that the "BudapestGO" app is completely useless for buying a ticket for this extra stretch. The "MÁV" app is even worse—it forces you to go through a tedious registration process, demands your payment details, and features one of the most counterintuitive and poorly designed user interfaces I have ever encountered in all my travels. You are forced to use their "planner" to search for the bus, only to most likely end up not finding it at all. Furthermore, there are no ticket vending machines or facilities at the bus stop itself. Your only option is to join the long queue when the bus arrives, use an AI translator on your phone, and buy the ticket directly from the driver. Unfortunately, my 4-day stay coincided with the UEFA Champions League Final being held in Budapest. During this time, hotel prices in the city center skyrocketed by more than five times the usual rate, and unless you book at least two months in advance, it is highly likely you won't find any availability at all. In comparison, the price increase at this guest house was quite reasonable and understandable.

Comfortable beds and a spotless room made our stay enjoyable. Great location on a quiet street. The owner's son was so helpful and accommodating. A gem of a guesthouse.
