Zimmer sind schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, im Matahari selber außerdem noch klein, im Guesthouse ziemlich angewohnt...

Location for diving Tulamben is good. Staff very friendly. Sea view from restaurant is nice.

1st room terrible road noise, they moved us to 2nd room. Quieter but twin beds instead of 1 large bed, sewer smell in bathroom, bath door wouldn’t stay closed allowing smell into room, no hot water in shower. Much smaller than 1st room, same price. After 2 nights they switched us to room with 1 lg bed, hot shower. Facility is old, needs fixing up but overall ok. Staff very helpful except for 1 error; they thought they found our errant booking for 28th at Matahari GH in Kuta. Turns out Kuta had no booking, was another by same name on different island.

The location was perfect for divers. Also the restaurant had a very beautiful view over the ocean

Very noisy. In the room you heard the cars passing by as if the bed was on the road. Also the fan on the ceiling made a lot of noise.

😊to be honest, we only booked the Matahari Guesthouse as we wanted to dive with Matahari and their dive resort across the road was fully booked. We had quite low expectations since the price was very low. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We booked the double.The room was basic, but large and very clean, hot water in the shower and good aircon. Comfy beds (but we had to ask for an extra pillow each) Table and chairs outside the room on the upstairs terrace and a clothes dryer. All in all, since the room was less than €20, it was definitely worth the money. Ask for an upstairs room.

☹️ poor wifi. No fridge. Right on the roadside so very noisy, it is a busy road with lots of traffic night and day
