The Green Village Dambulla

Los dueños fueron muy acogedores. Estaba super limpio, nos recibieron con un zumito de frutas. Está alejado del ruido del centro, pero aun asi super cerca de todo. Desayuno abundante y muy bueno. Muy recomendable.

Zeer vriendelijke behulpzame mensen. Prachtige safari gedaan via hen( zeer rustige driver, met kennis en zoveel mogelijk weg van de massa voor prima prijs) Kleine wandeling naar het centrum maar een tuktuk kan ook. Uitgebreid ontbijt met wat hartig en wat zoets. Zeer de moeite waard!

The host and family were very friendly. The meal was generous and delicious. I could also taste traditional Sri Lankan meals. The host gave me a lot of information to help me travel and picked me up for city tours. Thank you to the host for helping me have a comfortable trip.

La atención de Athula y su familia es excepcional. Nos recibieron con un zumo de bienvenida y nos llevó en su tuk tuk a las cuevas de Dambulla. Además, nos ayudó con las reservas y la organización de nuestro viaje poniéndonos en contacto con proveedores locales. El desayuno buenísimo y muy abundante. Nos ofreció un tour por los alrededores de Sigiriya y Pidurangala por un precio muy razonable. Tiene servicio de lavandería. Athula y su familia son personas encantadoras, las típicas de las que te dan pena despedirte. Si alguna vez volvemos a Dambulla, nos alojaríamos aquí sin dudarlo.

The staff were super friendly and available and offered to take us free of charge to the temple and take our luggage from where our driver was supposed to pick us up after.

The noise! So so so loud all night: animals, cars, the staff probably preparing the breakfast early in the morning. We didn’t sleep at all and that’s a big issue for us.

This homestay is in a great location, offering a peaceful retreat just outside the busy part of town. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, even providing two tuk-tuk rides, which was a very nice touch. The room and bathroom were both exceptionally clean. We had a lovely balcony, which was a nice bonus and a wonderful spot to sit and relax. The room also had a large window, though it had opaque glass, so we couldn't see the view from inside. The breakfast was also excellent. Since a good night's sleep and a solid shower are my top priorities, here’s a breakdown of those two key areas: Sleep: The bed was comfortable, although a bit firm. The room was very quiet, with only the gentle sounds of the air conditioning and cicadas. The AC worked great and kept the room nice and cool. However, the curtains let in a lot of light, which affected my sleep. Shower: The bathroom was spotless—an A+ for cleanliness. The shower had good temperature control and passable pressure. Adding a few hooks would be a small but helpful improvement.
