The attitude of the care taker need to be improved, i have alreay mentioned about the breakfast but they didn’t serve

The caretaker, Ibrahim, is a very friendly and curious guy, and speaks good enough English. The value for money is good, because it's like similarly-priced hostels but with a little extra privacy between beds (2 meter high walls), and cleaner, friendlier, and better equipped than any hotel that price would be (I've stayed at a lot of cheap hotels in Assam). There's a pretty nice hangout area outside with a view of the city, and the shower in the shared washroom worked well, with hot water (must turn on the switch in advance, just like everywhere else here). Somehow there were barely any mosquitoes in the room at night, even though there were lots of them on the veranda and the door was open for much of the evening.

The Rs. 490 "private room" I booked is not quite what you would expect of a private room - the walls don't reach to the ceiling, so there's zero privacy for sound (from either the other guests or the caretaker), the ceiling fans are shared with the other "rooms", and if someone turns on a light at night it will light up all the rooms somewhat. The owner I talked to in advance on Whatsapp did warn me that it's kind of a dorm and that there's no sound insulation, but he should have been more clear about the walls not reaching the ceiling. I was hoping for a place where I could have separate control of fans, lights, and whether or it was closed to the outside (for mosquitoes and air pollution). It also was very noisy during the early evening, with other guests watching videos on their phones without headphones, making conversation, etc., though everyone did get quiet around 11pm (I also feel bad about bothering them when I had to move around or use my torch later at night). This is not really a complaint, but the decorations to make the place feel like a pleasant international-style backpackers hostel maybe need a bit more effort. For example, the manufacturer stickers could be taken off of the window frames, the stained white walls could be newly painted in bright colors, and the veranda could be kept tidier and cleaner around the edges.

in khanapara, it's the best option. loved playing some table tennis after a long time.

Just little noise from nearby rooms but this is perfect for solo stay... really nice
