Nothing that I can say was remarkable

It's crumbling building and if there was a fire or earthquake, there is no way to escape. An old building does not mean that it will have tired bedding, towels and bad quality soap etc. It seems the owners just want to fleece the tourist and don't want to spend anything to offer quality services. I have stayed at many places, and even hostels in most of Europe have excellent cleanliness, beddings and towels, plus offer breakfast for far less price. I think Morocco as a whole is charging European rates but extremely poor services. If traveling to Morocco and you want to enjoy the EXOTIC culture then staying in the Madina is fine. But be warned that it's filth and urine stench that you have to deal with.

Great location. Simple, clean room. Beautiful terrace with a great view of the Atlantic.

No air conditioning so we had to keep the windows partially open. The street was very very noisy with children and people yelling to each other.

Extremely friendly staff! Great location and beautiful rooms. The best equipped kitchen we have seen in Morocco. A perfect option for guests who want to have a nice relaxing long stay and feel at home!

Painting the terrace caused minor inconveniences, but is required to give the well maintained feeling.

This is a small and simple Dar that feels like part of the town. It isn’t a modern or fancy hotel but has a home feel. It has a beautiful terrace with a fully equipped kitchen and fridge. The hosts spoke no English, but we speak no french or arabic so no complaints and not something we require or expect of the host. They were so kind and made us coffee/tea upon our arrival. They cleaned the room daily as well. The location was perfect and check in was easy. For the price, this place is unbeatable. Comfy beds, good facilities and always felt safe.

location is very good near the market and its music is fantastic, you can see the sunrise and sunset on the top floor. because we take the bus at 17:00 after checkout, the host let us put the luggage at the lobby.

bad is just a little small.

The riad is really cozy, clean, and very tastefully decorated. Both Milouda and Hassan were wonderful, welcoming hosts. There is a small kitchen on the terrace that all guests can use to cook food (spices are provided by Daranur, and you can buy the ingredients at the market down the street). The highlight of this place is the roof terrace. The view of the ocean and Medina is amazing. It's the perfect spot to watch the sunset/ sunrise. We stayed here for three nights and spent most of our time walking through the Medina. The riad is ideally located if you are interested in exploring by foot.

The most beautiful place we stayed in during our trip to Morocco! The home is owned by a lovely couple who are always attentive and welcoming; they greeted us when we arrived with tea on their terrace. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are very comfortable. Everything was spotless and the home even smells amazing! You can enjoy a mint tea whenever you like on the terrace and there is also a hammock :)

Although nothing to do with the property, the Mellah can feel uninviting at night.

This hidden gem in Essaouira is simply amazing! It's located right in the heart of the Medina and offers a fantastic sea view from the rooftop. The cleanliness was great, and the hosts are the friendliest people ever! They're always up for a nice chat and make you feel incredibly welcome. If you want a cozy little place to explore the city on foot, look no further – this is the perfect spot to stay! :)
