Sweden Inn Guesthouse

The Sweden Inn is the perfect guesthouse to stay at in Hikkaduwa. The host family are absolutely lovely, the wifi is great, there is hot water, aircon, and it is in right in the middle of Hikka, with the beach just across the road and only a few minutes walk either way to whatever restaurant you desire to eat at. The property is very well secured with cctv all around, and a gated entrance which is locked at night. The rooms also feature a safe which gives you that added security for your valuables. The value for money is unmatched and I doubt you can find anywhere better to stay for the price that you get The Sweden Inn for. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The family who owns the place is super helpful and nice :) the rooms were just like in the pictures and location is perfect since it’s very nearby the beach but it wasn’t noisy at all.

Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. A lot of hosts have been welcoming but Chandini truly went above and beyond to make us feel part of the family. She constantly put us at ease and provided help whenever we needed it and was always there to greet us with a smile and a conversation whenever we returned to the guest house. The room was heavenly, the shower was hot and the lovely comfortable four poster bed had a mosquito net, A/C + a fan. We got terribly soaked on a rainy drive home and Chandini even hung our clothes on her own washing line to get them dry for our next day departure, and found us a bus to our next destination, making sure she waited with us and flagged it down. So kind. Her son also arranged a scooter for us for the best price we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! We will definitely be booking again if we return to Hikkaduwa!

We had a great stay. Lovely owners, the room was comfortable, and the inn is close to several nice restaurants and beach areas. I have nothing negative to say, and would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here.

Small room. No chair no closet no hanger on the wall

The hospitality... Location.. and very clean room.. amenities better than similar priced properties in srilanka. The hostess went out of her way to make our stay wonderful.. always available with a warm smile and some or the other produce from her garden :) We had a slight problem with the airconditioner. Which she got immediately fixed. Overall a wonderful stay!!
