Our stay at Charles Inn was great! Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely couple who immediately sat us down and handed us a nice cup of tea. They then handed us over the keys to the house and the bedroom, and gave us a quick tour of the accomodations. The bedroom was nice and tidy and the beds were ready for us. In the morning we were greeted by a nice omelette and a steaming cup of tea. The location of the Inn is perfect for people who come to Liverpool for Anfield, and it‘s also close to bus stops to get to the inner city. For people that don‘t mind walking a fair bit, the inner city is also a walking distance away. (20-30 minutes) Overall, we highly recommend Charles Inn for people travelling to Liverpool!

The hosts were very kind and lovely. They made us Ceylon tea on arrival which was a nice gesture. The breakfast was nice as well, bread and bacon omlette with tea. We had a nice conversation and felt at home.

The heating in the bedroom and the bathroom was not optimal. We travelled in December. There was no heater in the bathroom and the temperature was nearly 0 deg C at night. There was no proper room heater in the bedroom either and the standing heater was not just enough. Even though heating blankets were supplied on the bed, I suffered from cold a lot and did not have a good sleep. I caught cold the next morning with runny nose and woke up with a throat pain especially during swallowing.
