One Rest Private House

A lovely little house, very comfortable, clean and quiet. Handy to the island bus service and easy walking around Honmura.

It was really nice to stay in authentic house on a Naoshima Island. Unfortunately our trip was exactly at a time of museum's maintainence, which our host informed us about straight away. Anyways experience was great, house nice and clean, Island simply beautiful

The house is charming and very convenient to all sites and bus. Host even helped us book a dinner reservation when we checked in and recommended an excellent restaurant.

Not much in the way of cutlery or crockery or things to help prepare and serve food

Location was convenient to Honmura and its offerings including the Art House Project, the ferry terminal, and a few restaurants. Johnny was very kind and picked us up at the Miyanoura terminal. He provided us with useful information on the limited openings of restaurants during the offseason and the use of the local bus.

The property is a bit rundown and the offerings felt barebones. No house slippers were available and since we didn’t travel with any, we had to walk inside barefooted. There was a heated area rug that offered respite though. The futon beddings were comfortable enough but there were no bedsheets; luckily we had one so we used that. The bathroom area was very cold.
