Very clean and very welcoming hosts

A cooked breakfast would have been nice but the spread for continental breakfast was amazing.

Tout. L'accueil de Trudy et sa famille, leur gentillesse, le petit déjeuner, les adorables attentions dans nos chambres, le service des chambres digne d'un hôtel haut de gamme. Tout est vraiment parfait nous étions avec nos 3 enfants et tout était parfait. Le petit déjeuner est juste exceptionnel et impressionnant. La maison est typique et authentique. Un grand merci à eux pour leur accueil et d'avoir rendu notre séjour aussi exceptionnel.

Lovely Guest House

Nice and clean and very friendly staff. Great value for money. Teas, coffee, water available in rooms which is a nice welcome. Something not seen in even expensive hotels.

"Exceptional"

Landlady was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and presented well. Some nice touches (shortbread, penguin biscuits and water). Excellent value for the cost. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

No niggles. Shared bathroom isn't for everyone.

It was a great place and exceptionally good value for money. Comfy bed, nice room. The shared bathroom was spacious and bright; much better in my opinion than the poky en suite you get crammed into the room in a lot of places. The welcome was exceptional. Breakfast for an extra £5 was superb. They found a space indoors for our filthy bikes, which was well above and beyond hospitable. We would have been completely happy for them to be dumped in the yard outside, but as space was found indoors. Lucky bikes! Trudy is a great host.

I have no negative comments to make about this stay at all.

"Exceptional"

The staff is lovely. Trudy and the gentleman making our breakfast were both so helpful and kind. The breakfast had everything you wish and even more, so even a vegetarian has a lot of choices.

It is a 200 year old house, so don't expect anything modern, just a homey feeling. Also the bathrooms are shared, so mind that.
