Villa Rumah Pantai Bali

The sea bungalow didn't show pictures. Although comfortable the shack was not modern.

The manager, Kari, and every member of the staff were kind, attentive, and never lazy. They always greeted me warmly, making eye contact every time. They start their day at dawn, watering the garden and picking up fallen frangipani flowers to decorate different corners of the villa.

Mister Kari was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Hij heeft ons goed wegwijs gemaakt in Bali waardoor we de weken erna onszelf goed konden redden. De rust en het uitzicht van de villa zijn zeker een reden om terug te komen.

Veel beestjes en smoezeligheden.

Villa Rumbah è una ex villa privata trasformata in una location per turisti, mantenendo l'atmosfera di ambiente familiare. È situata in una posizione fantastica con una vista pazzesca sul oceano e una bellissima piscina. Il personale è molto attento alle esigenze dei clienti, e la collazione è varia. Si possono mangiare anche pranzo e cena cucinati dalle signore che gestiscono tutto. Gli spostamenti per andare un po' in giro non sono semplici, apparte il sig Kari che molto disponibile si presta a portare gli ospiti dove hanno bisogno . La spiaggia di fronte è molto bella, con sabbia finissima, e praticamente deserta. Un paradiso perduto. Il mare/ oceano non è balneabile perché ci sono scogli e correnti forti. Magari solo i surfisti experti potrebbero approfittare delle onde. Un posto che rimane nel cuore, e ti prometti di tornare.

Leider kann man am Strand, der direkt von der Villa zugänglich ist nicht schwimmen gehen. Zusätzlich kommt man von der Unterkunft schwer weg. Villa Rumah bietet Transporte an, aber die Distanzen sind weit. Wenn man die Insel erkunden und zu anderen Stränden möchte, ist die Lage nicht optimal, wenn man allerdings Ruhe haben möchte und nicht dringen das Hotel verlassen möchte, dann ist die Lage ideal.

Small-scale place, very nice bungalows spaced out along steep stairs from the beach through the beautiful gardens and up to the pool area. The food was great but keep in mind that they ask to order 2h in advance. The beach is beautiful though we didn’t go while we were there as it was raining. Really enjoyed the Balian Beach restaurants close by too and (with or without kids) really recommend visiting the Sea Turtle Conservation Farm while you’re there.

The steps in the grass get incredibly slippery when it rains, and me and my kid both fell, so make sure to walk on the grass instead. Their English isn’t the best so if you have a lot of very specific needs it might be complicated.
