The staff especially Daichibi-chan are amazing and they offer many different events and cheap alcohol and good food. Great social atmosphere and facilities in the hostel! Will be back again!

Generally pleasent and helpful staff with decent English.

No soap in the bathroom, and while they did help to book a bus, they then later changed the time and we're comparatively more expensive than booking directly.

Good location. The room was spacious. We booked this for 2 nights over songkran and paid $70 a night, which is insane for a hostel. When we arrived the first thing we asked about was the internet. We work online and have to take video meetings every day and they assured us the internet was good. They gave us a password and we checked it in the reception area and it seemed fine. The room was not very clean, the toilet did not flush properly and there was nothing in the room apart from very basic furniture. The Tv did not work and the air conditioner was useless. The guy from reception came to the room to ask us to pay, we couldnt face to find another place at short notice so we agreed to stay and my husband went out to the reception area to pay him. While he was gone I set up my computer, and realised the interent in the room wasn't working. It then came on, but was very slow and then went off again, so I told my husband we couldnt stay as we couldnt take our work meetings. He went and explained to the guy and we obviously expected we;d pay for the first night, but as we were giving more than 24 hours notice , we wanted to cancel the second night. The man refused to give us any refund. We couldnt afford to pay another $70+ for another room as well, so had to stay.

Throughout our stay thet smirked and laughed in our faces when we complained about the a/c the toilet, or the internet. We couldnt work in the reception/ restaurant area where the internet was ok, because of the noise. It was full of shouting and screaming drunk people all day and night. My son was too afraid to leave the room. On check out day, they literally came banging on the door at the exact check out time, even though they could see my husband was waiting for a taxi with our bags at the front entrance, so we were obviously about to leave. The guy in charge then pushed his way into the room saying he needed to check it, which he did and then we left. We complained to Booking.com and after a lot of emails, they offered us $20 compensation. Nowhere near enough to cover our lost earnings, but ok. The next day they emailed us to say the hostel had said we had violated their policies and damaged the room and THEY wanted compensation! They literally checked the room while we were there and had no issues. And there was no damage that we caused. Any damage, like the faulty toilet and mould up the walls, was there when we arrived. This was the worst expereince we've ever had in SE Asia and we have stayed at literally hundereds of places in the past 10 years.

Cool guesthouse with Japanese guests and staff. Very friendly and kind guys. In the evenings, they have a shared dinner and board games). Draft beer $ 0.5 until 22 hours, just awesome))

The hosts were kind to us and helpful, they gave us a room upgrade for free because our actual room wasn't available. The place is in a more or less local hood :)

Photos show lots of greenery when there are actually only a few plants around and a huge empty space that looks like some kind of a construction side. The staff and (probably local) visitors are very loud eating and drinking till late night, every night which all guests of this little place have to deal with. The hang out zone is actually occupied most of the time by staff.

The reception lied to justify a very late check-in (3 p.m.) by saying that the room was being cleaned. In fact, we found a very dirty room. Disgusting floor and bathroom. Everything is old and ugly. Such a messy place. The "garden" is extremely dilapidated, the lawn is in ruins, it looks like an abandoned building site. Howling and barks dogs at night. This situation was a shame in front of my husband. Look at my pictures.
