"Idiosyncratic haven"

Very welcoming, the hostel is a bit of a maze with rooms.tucked into surprising corners, but that just gives it more character. A little out of the centre of town (5 minutes walk), a fantastic common area and balcony, great breakfast and lovely staff.

I would happily have killed the neighbours rooster, but earplugs solved that problem!

The hostal was wonderful, and Milena's hospitality made my stay much the more enjoyable. The hostal was easy to get to, spotless, and the towels had a pleasant aroma. The food was quite tasty. Milena shared details on local transportation and tour options. As an added bonus, she sold lovely souvenirs.

The location and view from the terrace was very nice.

The only issue was that the room they originally offered us was a basic box with no windows. Especially when I booked the room it said balcony or terrace. So I was surprised to be put in a claustrophobic windowless room. Happily, they changed it out for one with a window. I guess the "terrace" listing was for the main area.

The breakfast was 2 pieces of bread, refried beans, eggs, fried bananas, and juice or coffee. I enjoyed it. 10 minute walk from the lake

No window in the room. Only 1 outlet that could only fit the fan or charge something but not both at the same time. So there's no airflow and it gets really hot without the fan. The water pressure in the shower is nonexistent and the water cuts off several times during showers. The curtain rod was just set on top of some tiles and fell down. I couldn't balance it correctly to put it back up. A bunch of roosters less than 5m from my bed that started going off at 1:45 in the morning. This is seriously overpriced for what you get. It's not even worth half the price I paid.
