"Lovely stay in a beautiful country property."

Beautiful gardens and pool area to enjoy, with a spectacular view. The 2-bedroom apartment is well laid out, nicely decorated and the kitchenette is good for simple meals. Breakfast was tasty and staff were very responsive.

"Gorgeous views and rural tranquility."

We have visited this property at least five times before so we knew what to expect. The view over the Tua Valley is breathtaking and well worth the time spent getting there up some very twisty roads. The accommodation had everything we needed to make breakfast for ourselves. In the low season there is only a self catering option but that‘s fine because 15 minutes down the road at the railway stop of Foz Tua, is an excellent restaurant, Calce Curta, which is very popular with the locals. Food can be bought at Carrezeda. The room was well equipped and the beds comfortable. Everything was spotless and Danielle, the owner speaks English very well and was very welcoming and helpful. This area of Portugal is very quiet and little known as people prefer to go to the Algarve, but I would suggest that the scenery and the port wine make it a must visit destination.

The thunderstorms! Very unusual for the region and the rain was much needed and appreciated by the locals.
