1. We arrived and bedsheets were already stained 2. Very awkward slim room of two levels and only small winding stairs. Not enough space on stairs to bring up a suitcase (we had backpacks and that was already difficult) 3. Bed was a pull out couch ish thing with a big, uncomfortable gap in between mattresses. 4. Water stopped working on 2nd night for a few hours during evening- prime shower time before bed. 5. No space for a chair/no chair 6. Could not leave suitcases in hallway for a few hours on day of check out. 7. Come back to cockroaches in room 2/3 nights after day program (I realize it’s a tropical climate and urban - but still, those are pretty bad sample odds) 8. Room with only small milky window in roof, not openable, no view. 9. Window was not tight so we had mosquitos in room in the evening/night (+ a cool gecko which gives plus points) and some water on floor from dripping after rain
LTLots of space. An ammazing location. Comfortable self check in. Really nice atmosphere in the room.
It could have been cleaner, as we found a lot of dark hair in various places.
ESI really enjoyed my stay. Richard, the host, was very kind. He send us a lot of useful information with what to do in Kuching and was always willing to help. I forgot my T-shirt in the hostal and he did everything he could to return it to me! Thank you very much Richard!
MYGreat location Walking distance to every where Comfy room and bed The host Mr Lee is very nice and thank you for all your arrangement. Especially with my luggage and also a quick check-in as I arrived earlier than expected.
CNGood location and cozy room
MYStaff is very flexible and communication is smooth, this is a legit guest house and is very good value, initial single person room have some toilet issue Staff gave me a free upgrade to a larger room which is much appreciated.
Wall is quite thin and near noise from other room, cleanliness is okay but can notice this is an old building and room, maintenance is okay, but you get what you pay. Good value and bearable in my opinion.
