Carnot House

Lovely clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Was in easy walking distance of the centre. Was very good for the price

The only issue is that the room was quite noisy with a train track running at the back and noise carried from the other rooms. The actual street where the property resides is a bit run down and quite grim looking but not at all far from the centre.

There was a cockroach in my room which ran under the bed, bathroom smelt like damp/mildew and the sink was rust. The door to come in was very loud and despite my room being at the end of the hall I could hear it. Lots of banging from upstairs residents

Stayed in the stork room. Great location, close to the train stations. Air conditioned room. Comfortable bed. Decent size room and bathroom. Shared kitchen and communal area which was clean

The was a TERRIBLE smell coming from the bathroom, smelled like a drainage issue. Looking at previous reviews this has been an ongoing problem that hasn’t been fixed. There was mould on the ceiling in the bedroom and in the shower, the towel rail was covered in rust.

Booked. as location on map was not far from port. Although parking available outside it didn't appear to be a safe neighbourhood so parked in front of hotel around the corner. Coffee pods provided for machine located on shared first floor kitchen but they were undrinkable. Luckily , at this time of year the place was not full but noise reverberates when people are about in corridor (just woken twice during night). There was what seemed a nice patio area outside to sit but received a message that door was not working properly and could get locked out if door not prevented from closing so didn't venture out , and anyway didn't have a nice coffee to risk having a drink there ! Place was all combination locks for main entry and door for room (however doors themselves didn't appear to be that robust so could be a safety concern also). TV was on wall but would need to be a giraffe to watch it from bed position
