SLOW HOUSE kesennuma - Vacation STAY 31901v

Great value for money if you want to stay in Kesennuma for a night. Location is ~30 minutes by foot from the train station or ~10 minutes by BRT (which runs to and from the station). Staff was very friendly and speaks english well enough. Facilities were clean.

Walls are very thin and you will sleep on a futon, so not a great choice if either of these things tend to bother you.

I stayed here as a base for exploring the Sanriku coast. It was only a short walk to the nearest station, with a couple of conbini on the way for supplies. I recommend renting a bicycle from near the main station to explore the town. All the staff were super friendly, and the shared areas were great for chatting to others or relaxing in.

I would've rated the place a 10 except the air con in the bedroom wasn't properly installed and didn't cool the room properly. it wouldn't be a problem any other time of year I guess but it made for uncomfortable sleeping in the summer heat. Please fix this 😋

it was relatively new guesthouse, so everything was clean and nice. there was even a kerosene heater in the room that didn’t smell much.

the wall was quite thin so we had to be careful about the noise

Extremely friendly staff, charming accommodation for young travelers. Very fun stay. Will definitely come again. Good location as well.
