VIEW!! Just look at the picture, the sunrise view is amazing The rooms (yes, two storey, bedroom upstairs and kitchen/living room/bathroom downstairs) are in good condition, all necessities are present, host is ready to help with whatever you may need

nice large rooms good wifi little kitchen hot water / good pressure in shower

there is 3 villas . unfortunately it’s off season and no one is here. the front villa is noisy . cars and roosters are very loud.

The view of Mt Batur out the balcony from the bed was amazing. Brilliant sight to wake up to. Villa had a kitchen which I can cook in and be self-sufficient for the time I was there. Staff was very helpful and greeted me with breakfast every morning. Offered to get me a guide for the trek up Batur. Very accommodating.

There were a lot of flies in my room. Room was right beside the road. Vehicles passing gets louder when I leave the balcony door open. Despite that, I could still get a full nights sleep without waking up.

It was our second stay since COVID pandemic, unfortunately the Villa is a disgust at this time we were very uncomfortable there is a lot of dust and dirt everywhere

the sewerage pipes and mothballs somewhere in the house/under the bed made me feel nauseous in the morning after sleep

nothing.

Rodent in the room ! i ran out and went into the car while I tried to call reception. No answer! Not 24 hour reception like stated. Thankfully I have an Indonesian SIM card so I called booking.com who got through to the manager/owner. The manager lied and said someone was on the way to resolve it. I waited, no one came. I thought of calling on WhatsApp and my call went through. The manager (owner?) tried to tell me at first that no one would come tonight ‘because they were sleeping already’, and acted shocked when I said I wanted a refund. They tried to give me less money for a refund!! When I pointed it out, and I said I had change, and they said ‘boss says we get back 70k’, so they were well aware of how much they needed to refund me. A terrible situation that was handled very poorly. Not even a sorry. They offered to change my room, but why would I want that. Apart from the uninvited guest, the place was sadly dirty, limescale, ants and a small cockroach on the bed. That I can deal with, the rodent, no.
